How to Install a Shopify Theme in 5 Minutes (No Code)

A simple, no-code walkthrough for uploading and publishing a Shopify theme — plus what to do right after.

Installing a Shopify theme from a ZIP file takes about five minutes and needs zero coding. Here's the exact process, whether you bought a Novanture theme or any other Online Store 2.0 theme.

Step by step

Download your theme ZIP after purchase (keep it zipped — don't unzip it).
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
Under Theme library, click Add theme → Upload zip file and select your file.
Wait for it to process, then click Customize to open the editor.
Swap in your logo, colours, text and images — all in the visual editor.
Happy with it? Click Publish. Your store is live.

⚠️ Right after upload the theme won't look identical to the demo — the demo uses placeholder photos. You add your own images and products to make it yours. That's normal for every theme. Full details in our installation guide.

What to do next

Set up your menu (Online Store → Navigation), add your products, and fill the built-in sections — announcement bar, FAQ, reviews and newsletter. Every Novanture theme is Online Store 2.0, so all of this is drag-and-drop editable.
